In the midst of the hustle and bustle of Paris, a famous tenor is brutally murdered, plunging the city into chaos. The police inspector, known for his sharp intuition and unyielding sense of justice, finds himself immersed in a labyrinth of secrets and lies as he investigates the case. Against the backdrop of the glamour and decadence of the opera world, the plot unfolds in a tense atmosphere filled with contrasts.

The victim is loved by many, but he also has hidden enemies among his colleagues, each with their own dark motives. As the inspector delves deeper into the tenor's world, he uncovers a network of jealousies, unrequited passions, and old grudges that point to several possible leads. However, his instincts tell him that something deeper is at play, something that goes beyond professional rivalry.

With each interrogation and every clue, the tension mounts, and the inspector realizes that the true danger may be much closer than it seems. Confronted with a complex web of human relationships that range from admiration to hatred, he must unravel the truth behind the curtain before another crime occurs. In this thrilling odyssey, one of the most iconic detectives in French literature finds himself in his element, navigating between shadows and light in his quest for justice.
