In this hilarious 1920s comedy, we follow the misadventures of a dreamer named Merton, an aspiring movie star who is so obsessed with the glamour of Hollywood that he can't see the reality around him. One day, he decides to leave his dull life in a small town to pursue his dream of becoming a famous actor. With a mix of naiveté and overflowing enthusiasm, Merton embarks on a journey that takes him to the bustling city of dreams.

Upon arriving, he comes face to face with the harsh and often ruthless film industry. Trapped between pretense and the need to impress powerful producers, Merton tries to fit into a world where competition is fierce and authenticity is absent. As he faces a series of comedic situations and misunderstandings, his lack of experience gets him into deeper trouble, from disastrous auditions to disastrous encounters with rising stars.

The best part is that despite the obstacles and humiliations, Merton finds friendship and support in a quirky group of fellow aspiring actors who are also struggling to make their way. With a blend of laughter and moments of reflection, this story illustrates how the love of cinema can shape our lives, sometimes in unexpected ways, while reminding us that following our dreams, even the craziest ones, is worth it.
