In the 1970s, a young American named Billy Hayes embarks on a trip to Turkey with the hope of an unforgettable vacation. However, his plans are abruptly interrupted when he is arrested for attempting to smuggle hashish in his luggage. The reality of Turkish prison is brutal and desolate, with inhumane conditions and a corrupt justice system that offers him no hope of release.

As he tries to survive in this hell, Billy faces a system that crushes him and a series of fascinating characters, from desperate cellmates to ruthless guards. As despair takes hold of him, his spirit begins to crumble, but he also starts to forge unexpected connections with other prisoners who push him to seek a way out of this nightmare.

Billy's struggle for freedom becomes a desperate journey, where friendship and betrayal intertwine, and every day presents a new challenge. Amid despair and determination, it immerses us in a visceral tale about the corruption of an unyielding legal system and the resistance against adversity. With his unbreakable strength, Billy confronts the impossible, taking the audience on an emotional journey that explores the limits of courage and survival. The film is not only a chronicle of his experience but also a wake-up call about the dangers of isolation and injustice.
