In a Scottish city marked by poverty and hopelessness, Joe is a man in constant struggle. After leaving a rehabilitation center, he tries to piece his life back together, battling his internal demons and the stigma of his past. The story unfolds when he meets Sarah, a single mother who faces her own battles, raising her young son in a hostile environment.

As Joe and Sarah grow closer, a deep bond develops that offers them a glimmer of hope. However, the ghosts of the past threaten to destroy what they have built. Joe tries to stay away from bad influences and a group of troublesome friends who pull him back into darkness. His attempts to become a new man are constantly challenged, and change seems almost like a utopia.

As Joe and Sarah's relationship deepens, the reality of their lives becomes increasingly complicated. The tension rises when Joe is forced to make difficult decisions that could cost him both his freedom and his new family. This film is a raw and poignant portrayal of the struggle for redemption, where love and despair intertwine in a world that seems to offer no escape. With powerful performances and sensitive direction, the story invites reflection on the nature of life and the fight to find meaning amidst chaos.
