In this fun romantic comedy from the 1930s, we delve into the world of appearances and romantic entanglements. The story follows a young and charming woman named Bonnie, who, tired of the superficiality in her love life, decides it's time to take control. With the help of her best friend, she devises a bold plan: she will make all the men pursue her, but she will not reciprocate. Everything seems to go according to plan until an attractive and charismatic young man crosses her path, who, rather than backing down from the game, challenges her with his genuine attention and charm.

As Bonnie struggles to maintain her strategy of independence, her love life becomes a humorous chaos filled with misunderstandings and absurd situations. Her attempts to distance herself only bring her closer to this mysterious gentleman who, despite her resistance, seems to be the only one who truly understands her heart. Surrounded by friends, suitors, and rivals, Bonnie finds herself at a crossroads.

Amidst laughter and tears, the film explores themes of true love and the struggle to be oneself in a world full of expectations. With a fresh style characteristic of the era, the witty dialogues and unexpected twists keep the audience engaged. In the end, Bonnie must decide whether she really doesn't want to fall in love or if, perhaps, she has been chasing the illusion of being single.
