In a small, cold mining town in Minnesota, a brave and determined woman, played by Charlize Theron, struggles to change the course of her life and that of her family. After escaping an abusive marriage, Josie Aimes returns to her childhood home, seeking stability and an opportunity to rebuild her life. However, what she finds in the iron mines is a hostile work environment filled with machismo, where female workers are subjected to constant abuse and harassment from their colleagues.

Despite the risks, Josie decides to join her colleagues in the fight against the toxic culture that prevails in the mine. Together, they begin to raise their voices, defying centuries of silence and complicity. The story unfolds amidst emotional tensions and conflicts between personal loyalties, where Josie's decisions affect not only her life but also that of her family and friends. The plot takes us to a historic trial, where the women of the mine confront a justice system that has ignored their cries for far too long.

With a powerful message about the fight for women's rights and dignity in the workplace, the film provides a raw and emotional look at courage, resilience, and the need for change in gender dynamics. Facing adversity, Josie becomes a beacon of hope for many, challenging patriarchy and forging a path toward justice.
