In a not-so-distant future, a group of colonists embarks on an interstellar journey to a new home on a distant planet. The ship, designed for a 120-year voyage, enters a state of hibernation in which the passengers must sleep for most of the journey. However, everything becomes complicated when a system failure causes one of the passengers, Jim, to wake up 90 years earlier than expected. Trapped in a lonely and empty world, Jim grapples with the anguish of knowing that he will spend the rest of his life on the ship, without company.
After a year of solitude, Jim makes the drastic decision to wake up another passenger, Aurora, a journalist full of dreams and ideals. Although their initial meeting is magical, things turn complicated when Aurora discovers that her awakening was not an accident. As Jim and Aurora fall in love, they must face the moral dilemmas of life and death in an environment where they are the only human beings.
However, their love is threatened by a malfunction in the ship that endangers the lives of everyone on board. Together, they must join forces to save the ship and each of the passengers who remain in hibernation. As they fight to survive, they must also fight for their romance, discovering that sometimes love can bloom in the most unexpected circumstances.
