In the bustling city of Pittsburgh during the 1940s, a charismatic young man named Bill faces a tough dilemma when his quiet life as a steel salesman is shaken by the arrival of a mysterious man who promises a unique opportunity. This new character, with a dark past and captivating charm, stirs both ambition and distrust within Bill. As he delves into the ambitious industrial project that the stranger presents, he realizes that the line between greed and loyalty becomes increasingly blurred.

Along the way, Bill encounters a series of colorful characters, from his understanding girlfriend to a childhood friend who has been overshadowed by his aspirations. Tension mounts when the past of the enigmatic outsider begins to come to light, revealing connections that could jeopardize not only Bill's life but also the stability of his community.
