The Prisoner

In a mysterious and unsettling setting, a group of prisoners lives under the rigid control of a strange regime in a prison in the middle of nowhere. The story follows one of these inmates, a man whose identity has blurred over the time he has spent behind bars. As he struggles to maintain his sanity, he learns that a prisoner has escaped, triggering a series of events that will test not only his strength but also his humanity.

Through surreal visions and the sudden appearance of a dark figure onto whom all the prisoners project their fears and hopes, collective anguish intensifies. Amid desperation and paranoia, a connection emerges among the prisoners, who begin to question not only their physical confinement but also the meaning of their own lives. As the atmosphere becomes increasingly hostile, the inmates must decide whether to unite against their oppressor or allow despair to consume them.

Visually striking and deeply symbolic, this silent work employs the innovative technique of intertitles to convey its complex emotions. Through a narrative that explores themes of freedom, isolation, and the struggle for identity, the protagonist confronts the fundamental question of whether one can truly escape from chains that are not only physical but also psychological. In this intense journey, no one is safe, not even from themselves.
