In London during the 1960s, a young man named Jimmy lives caught between his parents' expectations and his desire to be part of the vibrant mod subculture. Alternating between emotional roller coasters and the musical lineups of the time, Jimmy feels disillusioned with life, especially as he sees the rebellion and self-spirit he seeks eluding him. His only escape is his love for music, his scooter, and his group of mod friends, who share his devotion to fashion and culture.

However, as summer approaches, the tension between mods and rockers reaches a climax in an explosive confrontation in Brighton. The rivalry between the two youth tribes is not just about lifestyles; it becomes a symbol of the generational struggle. Amid parties and spotlight, Jimmy grapples with his growing frustration and the existential void he feels inside.

His journey leads him to question his identity and his place in this changing world. In the midst of betrayed friendships and heartaches, the noise of music transforms into a melancholic soundtrack of his quest. Caught in a sea of emotions, he confronts his own demons while seeking a sense of freedom and belonging, even in a culture that seems to be crumbling before his eyes. The final revelation leads him to a decision that will define his path, where music has the power to heal and destroy, all at the same time.
