In an industrial city in Italy, the life of Giuliana, a young mother, unfolds amidst a bleak and somber landscape. Trapped in her own mind and in a marriage that seems to be crumbling, her world is impacted by the arrival of new life, and her emotional fragility becomes even more palpable. After a car accident leaves her marked, Giuliana struggles with a profound existential crisis and an overwhelming sense of isolation. Her surroundings, characterized by factories, machinery, and barren landscapes, become an extension of her internal anguish.

The bond with her husband, Ugo, a dedicated engineer, suffers due to his inability to understand the emotional storm that Giuliana is going through. In her desperate search for connection, she encounters a young man, Corrado, who is drawn to her vulnerability. As her relationship with him evolves, a glimmer of hope for redemption emerges, though it is also threatened by doubts and the fear of losing herself.

In a desolate environment of intense colors, where beauty and anguish intertwine, Giuliana's story becomes a portrait of suffering, the struggle for meaning, and the quest for human connection in a world that seems to have forgotten how to do so. The film is a poetic and visual exploration of human fragility in the face of contemporary alienation.
