In a desolate Melbourne filled with social tension, a group of skinheads led by the charismatic and violent Hando finds its place in a world marked by violence and hatred. The group engages in acts of vandalism, street fights, and intimidates those they perceive as different, especially the immigrant community. Hando’s life changes when he meets Gabrielle, a young woman drawn to his bold disdain for social norms. As their relationship develops, Gabrielle finds herself caught between Hando's brutal world and her own convictions and aspirations.
The film highlights Hando’s internal conflicts, as he grapples not only with his anger towards the outside world but also with the pressures from his own group, which feels threatened by his growing connection with Gabrielle. As the atmosphere becomes increasingly hostile, the group faces a crisis that challenges their loyalties and beliefs. Starting to question the meaning of his hatred, Hando finds himself trapped in a cycle of violence that seems unending. All of this culminates in a series of heartbreaking confrontations that force Hando and Gabrielle to confront the realities of their choices, as love and hate intertwine in an explosive journey towards self-reflection. Every decision could lead them to a tragic fate, leaving the future of their lives hanging in the balance.
