In a university on the east coast of the United States, a group of wealthy young people navigates a world of wild parties, toxic relationships, and a desperate emotional void. The story revolves around three main characters: Sean, an attractive but self-destructive young man who feels that life has turned its back on him; Lauren, a girl searching for true love amidst a sea of superficiality, trapped in her own spiral of disenchantment; and the enigmatic and somewhat obsessive Paul, who struggles between his platonic love for Sean and his own personal battle to fit into such an elitist environment.
With a nonlinear narrative style, the film intertwines the stories of these three characters as they collide in a whirlwind of casual encounters and unexpected events. Attraction and desire are palpable, but so is loneliness and despair; each one struggles to find their place in a world that feels alien to them. Throughout their journey, the characters confront their own demons, as the excesses of college culture unfold around them. Amid unrequited love, broken friendships, and the search for identity, the trio faces the harsh reality of their decisions, leading them to wonder if there are really rules to follow in the game of love and life, or if they are doomed to repeat their same mistakes forever.
