In the heart of medieval France, a young peasant girl named Joan is compelled by divine visions to change the fate of her country amid the brutal Hundred Years' War. Convinced that her mission is to guide the dauphin Charles to the throne, Joan defies the norms of her time, taking up arms and leading French soldiers into battle. Her bravery and charisma quickly turn her into a symbol of hope for the people, but not everyone is willing to accept a woman in a position of leadership.

As her successes on the battlefield grow, so do the envy and doubts of the nobles and clergy around her. Tensions rise when her vision and determination start to threaten the poisoned status quo of a male-dominated society. Joan is ultimately captured by her enemies, who seek to destroy her influence and restore control. The young heroine faces a trial that questions her faith and sanity while the powerful attempt to silence her voice and legacy. The story becomes a powerful portrait of the struggle between faith and reason, craft and divinity, culminating in a conclusion that invites reflection on the true nature of heroism and sacrifice. This poignant narrative not only depicts the figure of a brave young woman but also challenges the social conventions of her time.
