In a vibrant and chaotic 1990s Los Angeles, two police officers, the charismatic Joe and his serious partner, find themselves in the midst of a war between drug cartels. With a backdrop of karate and a healthy dose of absurd humor, Joe, a former samurai turned detective, is the kind of guy who doesn't follow the rules but always has the best martial arts technique. Upon arriving in the city, he gets caught in a monumental mess: the feared mafia boss, Yamata, and his gang of ruthless criminals are wreaking havoc.
As Joe tries to dismantle the criminal organization, his flamboyant lifestyle and sword skills make him a magnet for trouble. Amidst ridiculous action scenes, unconvincing dialogue, and an endless array of 80s movie clichés, Joe finds himself in a constant tug-of-war with the law, as well as with his somewhat eccentric group of allies, which includes a quirky woman who is also seeking revenge.
With humor so unintentional that it prompts belly laughs, the story takes us through absurd situations that blur the lines between good and evil. As the tension mounts, fights and unexpected twists intertwine, taking the audience on a fun and often surreal journey toward justice, while jumping between seriousness and sheer ridiculousness.
