In the context of World War I, a young and charming woman named Daisy Devore works in a bar in New York, where her "girl-next-door" image blends with a touch of melancholy. One day, while waiting for the soldiers' arrival, she meets a pilot destined for the European front. Their relationship begins playfully, with Daisy showcasing her fun and flirty side, but also revealing her fears and insecurities.

The pilot, who carries the weight of expectations and imminent danger, is drawn to Daisy's vivacity and her ability to turn problems into laughter. As their connection deepens, Daisy finds herself in an internal conflict; on one hand, she wants to embrace the intensity of her present, and on the other, she fears the possible loss that the war could bring.

When the pilot is called to battle, Daisy becomes caught in a whirlwind of emotions, trying to maintain her cheerful spirit while the echoes of war resonate around her. With moments of comedy and drama, the story delves into love, sacrifice, and unfulfilled dreams. In the end, each character faces the question: is it worth risking everything for a fleeting love, or is it better to protect oneself from inevitable pain? With a nostalgic touch and a strong sense of the era, this film captures the essence of a love that defies the circumstances of time.
