In a quiet country house, a domineering mother, who has dedicated her life to caring for her children, sees her world tremble when her only daughter, a prototype of the modern woman, decides to take the leap towards independence. The growing tension between them becomes an emotional battlefield. The mother, with a possessive and oppressive love, cannot accept that her daughter aspires to a life outside the nest, while the young woman longs to find her own path and perhaps her own purpose in life.

As the story unfolds, the conflict intensifies, with the girl's brother caught in the middle, representing family loyalty against the desire for freedom. The atmosphere fills with loaded dialogues and underlying tensions, reflecting the struggle between duty and personal longing. This familial dynamic becomes the perfect setting to explore themes such as motherhood, identity, and the bonds that tie us, elevated by an impressive performance from its protagonists.

The narrative culminates in an emotional climax where the decisions of each character reveal the fragility of those invisible ties. The film achieves a profound reflection on love, sacrifice, and the inevitable passage of time, leaving the viewer with the sense that sometimes, breaking the umbilical cord may be the first step toward true personal fulfillment.
