A soldier named Colter Stevens wakes up on a moving train, not remembering how he got there. Next to him, a charming woman named Christina is talking to him, but he feels completely out of place. Soon, he discovers that he has been selected to participate in an experimental program that allows him to infiltrate another person's mind, as well as relive the last eight minutes of their life. His mission: to find out who planted a bomb on the train and prevent a much larger terrorist attack.
Every time Colter returns to the same sequence of events, he faces not only the challenge of solving the mystery but also the moral dilemma of his own decisions. As he tries to gather clues to lead him to the responsible party, he realizes that his actions have consequences that affect both the lives of the train passengers and his own. As he delves deeper into this dangerous mind game, he begins to question the nature of time and reality.
Trapped in a dizzying cycle of repetition, Colter must act quickly to change the tragic outcome that looms ahead, all while exploring his own identity and the meaning of life. The cat-and-mouse game between him and the terrorist becomes a race against time, where every second counts and the future of many people rests in his hands.
