The Stranger

In a hot city in North Africa, a European man lives an isolated and detached life. From the very beginning, he feels like a stranger in his surroundings, caught between his existential apathy and the inevitable reality that envelops him. After the death of his mother, his life becomes even more precarious, and his lack of emotions turns him into a passive observer of his own fate.

The narrative unfolds as our protagonist, whose superficial calm is disrupted by the eruption of social turmoil and the political tensions of the time, becomes embroiled in a conflict following an unexpected act of violence. This event not only unleashes a series of events that will change his life forever but also reveals the cracks in his indifferent facade. Amid encounters with intriguing and complex characters, including a fleeting romance with a woman who yearns for something beyond emptiness, he grapples with questions of morality in a world that seems to have lost it.

The story captures the protagonist’s agony as he reflects on his own existence and the meaning of life in a system revolving around death. As tensions escalate, his life takes a dramatic turn that forces him to confront his apathy and consider his place in a boiling society, leading him to an unexpected resolution that challenges his own identity and that of those around him.
