In a world that has been engulfed in unrest following the mysterious absence of an iconic hero, Clark Kent returns to Metropolis after a long absence. It was a journey to seek his roots on the planet Krypton, but upon his return, he finds himself faced with a desolate landscape: Lois Lane has found new reasons to move on without him and has written a book titled "Why the World Doesn’t Need Superman." But he must not only cope with the pain of seeing Lois redirecting her life with someone else, but he also has to confront one of his oldest enemies, Lex Luthor, who has devised a malevolent plan to dominate the world.
Luthor has acquired the technology to create a new land from the devastation caused by his own ambition, threatening to destroy what remains of civilization. As the world watches its protector reemerge, Clark must not only regain the trust of the city he once saved but also that of the woman he loves, who is already beginning to form a new family. With Metropolis in danger, Superman must fight not only his most formidable adversary but also the shadows of his own past. The film offers an exploration of identity, lost love, and sacrifice, highlighting that sometimes being a hero means facing not only villains but also the difficult decisions of the heart.
