In a small town in the northwestern United States during the Great Depression, tensions between the local residents and a powerful logging company reach their peak. The story revolves around Jack, an old lumberjack who has dedicated his life to chopping down trees, and his daughter, Mary, who has grown up dreaming of a different future. When the company, led by an ambitious and ruthless magnate, decides that the ancient forest surrounding the town is their next target for exploitation, Jack finds himself at a crossroads: to follow his family legacy or to fight for the well-being of the community and the environment.

As Jack grapples with duty and loyalty, Mary becomes a brave and passionate voice, organizing protests and rallying citizens to halt the devastation of the forest. The pressure mounts when the company begins to employ dark tactics to silence those who oppose their plans. Amid this conflict, old rivalries and unexpected alliances emerge that will shake the foundations of the community.

With stunning landscapes and a soundtrack that evokes the struggle for survival, this emotional drama highlights the resilience of the oppressed and the sacrifice for a sustainable future. In the end, the love and determination of Jack and Mary become a symbol of hope, leading the community to a decisive confrontation with the corporate interests threatening their lives. A poignant story that explores the connection between man and nature, and what it truly means to fight for what you love.
