In a hedonistic life filled with excesses, Gwen Cummings is a young New Yorker who seems to have it all: a job as an editor, a relationship with a charming guy, and a group of friends who are always ready to party. However, her life falls apart when she wakes up after an epic hangover, only to realize that she has ruined her sister's marriage during her wild night. Facing the consequences of her self-destructive behavior, Gwen is forced to enter a rehabilitation center, where she will be surrounded by a group of peculiar characters who are grappling with their own demons.
As she adapts to life in the center, the protagonist begins to confront not only her addiction but also the emotional wounds that have led her to seek solace in alcohol. With the help of her therapist and her fellow patients, Gwen embarks on a journey of self-discovery, prompting her to reassess her priorities, her relationships, and, above all, her identity. Over the course of these 28 days, she will experience anxiety, laughter, and emotional detoxification while learning that sometimes, in order to start anew, one must first let go of what keeps us trapped. In this struggle for change, Gwen's life transforms in unexpected and poignant ways, leaving her ready to face the world with a new perspective.
