In a quiet town in Massachusetts, a young musician named Arlo Guthrie finds himself on a memorable journey filled with absurd and revealing situations. After a long day, he and his friend celebrate Thanksgiving, but instead of the traditional family feast, they become embroiled in a series of events that spiral out of control. It all begins when Arlo decides to take home a couple of garbage bales, triggering a hilarious odyssey about bureaucracy and misunderstanding.

While searching for a place to dispose of his load, Arlo gets tangled up with a local café that shares his name, which becomes the epicenter of a social revolution. From an attempt to enlist in the army and the absurdities of recruitment, to the fight for the rights of hippies, Arlo becomes a symbol of the 1960s counterculture. The film, with its light tone and catchy music, reinforces the idea that although life may be filled with obstacles, there is always room for humor and camaraderie.

With a focus on challenging social conventions and critiquing war, this story, inspired by an iconic song, captures a spirit of freedom and rebellion that still resonates in contemporary culture. Get ready for a reflection on the craziness of life and a nod to the importance of staying true to oneself.
