Bilitis

In a hot summer on the French coast, a young teenage girl named Bilitis finds herself caught between the innocence of childhood and the first glimmers of adulthood. While spending the summer at her mother's house, she explores her sexuality and discovers love, friendship, and the secrets of desire in an environment full of freedom and sensuality. Bilitis, portrayed by a fresh and enigmatic actress, falls madly in love with her neighbor, a young man who awakens a burning curiosity in her.

As the story unfolds, Bilitis's relationship with her friends also takes center stage, as they share laughter, confidences, and moments of vulnerability. Complications of the heart arise, and Bilitis begins to question not only her feelings for the boy she loves but also her identity and desires in a world that often misunderstands her. Amidst poetic passages and dreamlike scenes, the film offers an honest and sometimes raw look at the transition to adulthood, the discovery of sexuality, and the search for a place in the world.

With stunning cinematography that captures the essence of youth and summer, the story is a journey through the ups and downs of teenage love, moments of doubt, and the quest for one's own voice in a constantly changing environment. The film, filled with tenderness and melancholy, invites viewers to remember their own youthful experiences and the awakening of their deepest feelings.
