In post-war Europe, a young violinist named Paul faces his inner demons and the aftermath of a conflict that has left deep scars on society and his own family. Having lived through the horrors of war, Paul decides to confront his past and reflect on the sacrifice of his brother, who lost his life on the front. His pain becomes even more intense when he meets his brother's fiancée, whose life was also shattered by the tragedy.

Driven by guilt and a longing for redemption, Paul strives to connect with the woman and find a sense of purpose amid the desolation surrounding them. However, the shadows of the past are not easy to leave behind. As their relationship develops, Paul realizes that his love for her is intertwined with the specters of his brother, leading him to an internal struggle between desire and duty.

With a melancholic atmosphere and a backdrop of emotional tensions, this story delves into how war transforms lives and relationships, exploring themes of guilt, love, and redemption. With a powerful musical undertone that reflects the anguish of the characters, the film probes into the complexity of human bonds rendered to tragedy, inviting the audience to reflect on the scars that war leaves on the soul.
