The City of Lost Children

In a gloomy and dystopian world, a mad scientist named Krank lives on an island surrounded by a dark ocean. His greatest desire is to uncover the secret of dreams, as he suffers from insomnia and has become incapable of dreaming. To achieve this, he kidnaps children and steals their dreams, believing that by doing so he can regain the innocence he has lost. However, his wicked plans are soon threatened by the arrival of a group of curious characters.

One of them is a young girl named Miette, a clever child with a strong sense of justice. After learning about her brother's disappearance, she joins a group of misfits, including a kind-hearted giant called "The Great Beast," who fights to protect the orphans from the ruthless Krank. Together, they devise a plan to confront the scientist and free the children trapped in his nightmarish world.

As the story unfolds, the tension grows in this surreal narrative, filled with stunning imagery and eccentric characters. Miette's quest to rescue her brother and liberate the other children becomes a journey laden with emotion and bravery. The struggle between light and darkness intertwines in a universe where dreams and reality merge, exploring themes of loss, love, and the magic of childhood. In the end, they confront the harsh reality of what it means to grow up and sacrifice everything for those you love.
