The Cousins

In the bustling Paris of the late 1950s, two cousins reach a turning point in their lives that will change them forever. Philippe, a young elegant and refined man, arrives from the province to visit his cousin, hoping to buy an atmosphere of uninhibition that will help him leave behind his monotonous and oppressive life. His cousin, a carefree and hedonistic law student, introduces him to the vibrant world of Parisian life, where parties, art, and promiscuity are the norm.

As their relationship develops, Philippe becomes drawn to his cousin's carefree way of life, which encourages him to explore his deepest desires and challenge social norms. However, as he delves into this new lifestyle, Philippe begins to lose control and finds himself trapped in a spiral of emotional and moral confusion. While his cousin enjoys a worry-free life, Philippe faces an internal conflict that leads him to question his values and the nature of his identity.

Time and again, both cousins find themselves entangled in tumultuous relationships and ethical dilemmas, ultimately resulting in a devastating clash between the pursuit of pleasure and the need for responsibility. Caught between friendship and love, the story serves as a haunting reflection on youth and the search for meaning in an era of cultural transformation, highlighting the tensions that arise between freedom and obligation.
