On a journey to his destination, a young accountant from Ohio, William Blake, finds himself trapped on a train heading to the distant city of Machine in the Old West. Everything seems to go wrong from the beginning: his arrival is disheartening, and he soon discovers that he has been fired from his job. But the worst is yet to come. After starting a relationship with a local prostitute, he becomes the target of a fateful revenge that leads to him being accused of a crime he didn’t commit.
Pursued by a gang of outlaws, Blake is forced to flee into the inhospitable nature of the American West. Along the way, he encounters a peculiar Native American named Nobody, who helps him confront his destiny. As his journey progresses, Blake undergoes a spiritual transformation that leads him to question life, death, and his own sense of being.
With each encounter, from the surreal visions of his past to the harsh realities of the present, Blake becomes a kind of messianic figure amidst a desolate and vast landscape. In the end, his journey transforms into a meditation on life and death, offering a poetic and dark reflection on the fate of man and the search for his identity in a chaotic world.
