In the midst of a frantic journey to fatherhood, a stressed architect finds himself trapped in a road odyssey with a peculiar, albeit somewhat troublesome, aspiring actor. It all begins when the protagonist, just days before his wife is due to give birth, is forced to fly to Los Angeles to be by her side. However, after a misunderstanding at the airport, his trip descends into chaos when he finds himself stripped of his ticket, and the only way to reach his destination on time is to share a car with a stranger who seems to have stepped out of a screwball comedy.
As they travel through a variety of landscapes, the two characters face a series of hilarious and absurd situations: from unexpected stops to encounters with the law that bring out the worst in both of them. The protagonist struggles to maintain his sanity and stay focused on his goal, while his companion, an eternal optimist and somewhat irresponsible, teaches him—albeit the hard way—about life, friendship, and the unexpected twists it brings.
