In the midst of the vast and dazzling lands of Australia, a family faces the devastating loss of their baby. The plot centers on the anguished events surrounding the disappearance of little Azaria, plunging her parents, Lindy and Michael Chamberlain, into a whirlwind of pain and despair. Lindy, played by Meryl Streep, is a devoted and brave mother who clings to hope while being caught in a media storm that takes an unexpected turn when the police begin to suspect her and her husband.

The pressure mounts as the media swoops in like vultures, transforming the tragedy into a sensationalist spectacle. The couple becomes the target of public opinion, as a trial begins that questions their character and sanity. Amid the outrage and the search for justice for their daughter, the story plays out a dark struggle between faith and doubt, plunging Lindy into a spiral of psychological horror. Will she be able to prove her innocence and regain the family peace that has been stolen from her? This film delves into the abyss of suffering, love, and the fight for truth, demonstrating how a heartbreaking event can transform lives and challenge the perception of justice in a world full of shadows. With powerful performances and tense direction, the film becomes a chilling portrayal of tragedy and the judicial system.
