In 1926, Newt Scamander, a British magizoologist, arrives in New York with a magical suitcase filled with extraordinary creatures. His intention is simply to visit the city and, of course, document his unusual friends. However, his arrival coincides with a growing conflict between the magical community and the non-magical, or "Muggles." When some of his creatures manage to escape from his suitcase, they cause chaos in the streets of the city, triggering a series of events that will test not only Newt's skills as a magizoologist but also his problem-solving abilities.
During his quest to recapture the creatures, Newt teams up with Tina Goldstein, a former Auror seeking to restore her reputation, and her sister Queenie, who has the gift of reading minds. Together, they find themselves embroiled in a conflict that includes a powerful and dark wizard intent on dominating both the magical and non-magical worlds. Over time, the group must confront dangerous forces and uncover the truth behind the rising tension between the communities, all while learning about friendship, love, and acceptance.
At the same time, the film explores the rich history of magic in the United States, taking viewers on a dazzling journey filled with fabulous creatures and moments of pure magic, both literal and figurative. This charming tale reminds us that sometimes the monsters we fear are simply a result of our lack of understanding.
