A boy named David Freeman gets lost in a forest in 1978 and, upon returning home, realizes that eight years have passed and his family has changed completely. Not only has he lost time, but he has also been involved in a strange encounter with a spaceship. During his adventure, David is abducted by a mysterious flying saucer that seems to possess its own consciousness and advanced intelligence. The craft, named Max, reveals to him that his journey through space and time has been part of an alien experiment.
As he tries to readjust to his normal life, David faces the disbelief of his family and the curiosity of the scientists around him, who see in him an opportunity to study the extraterrestrial phenomenon. As the connection between David and Max deepens, they embark on a journey filled with fun, excitement, and a couple of dangers that will test their friendship.
With the urgency of finding a way to return David to his original time and a race against the countdown of a world that is no longer his, the story becomes a tribute to childhood, curiosity, and the desire to belong. Along the way, David will learn lessons about growth, family, and the value of facing the unknown.
