On a sunny day in December 2008, Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old African American man, struggles to find his way in life. He works at a supermarket, has a girlfriend he loves, Sophina, and a young daughter for whom he tries to provide a better future. However, Oscar's life is not simple; he carries a past full of wrong decisions, conflicts with the law, and the pressure of living in a tough environment in Oakland, California.

The story focuses on a decisive day in Oscar's life, beginning with his attempt to reconnect with his family and put his troubles behind him. As the day goes on, Oscar and his friends decide to go out and celebrate New Year's in San Francisco. What starts as a night of fun quickly turns into a tragedy as they encounter law enforcement who, in an attempt to control a confusing situation on the train, use force in a devastating and disproportionate manner.

The film captures Oscar's everyday life and his vulnerability, while presenting a raw and realistic portrayal of police brutality and its repercussions. Through poignant direction and powerful performances, it addresses a theme that resonates deeply in today's world, reminding us of the fragility of life and the struggle for justice in a landscape filled with inequalities. Oscar's story becomes a human portrait that invites reflection on violence, empathy, and social change.
