When a wealthy and egocentric businessman, James, is sentenced to prison for fraud, his world of luxury and comfort completely crumbles. Confronted with the harsh reality of life behind bars, James finds himself overwhelmed and terrified by the prospect of what awaits him in prison. However, to ensure his safety and survive in that hostile environment, he decides he needs help. From that point on, he hires Darnell, a man who works at a car wash and who, at first glance, seems far removed from the criminal lifestyle.
Darnell, whom James assumes has experience in the prison world due to his appearance, agrees to help him prepare. The situation complicates when Darnell realizes that, despite his own struggles and aspirations, he has to take on the role of a "prison survival" coach. As both characters delve into this hilarious and sometimes awkward friendship, a series of ridiculous situations and misunderstandings arise that challenge their prejudices and beliefs.
Together, they confront their own fears and a society that often judges them for their differences. With each "toughening" lesson, they learn that true strength is not measured in muscle, but in friendship and mutual understanding. This experience leads them to a deep and comedic look at life, redemption, and what it really means to be strong.
