In a dystopian future, society is divided into twelve districts, subjected to the rule of an oppressive government known as the Capitol. Every year, to remind everyone who is in charge, the Capitol organizes a brutal event known as the Hunger Games, where a boy and a girl from each district are selected in a lottery to compete in a fight to the death that is broadcast live.

Our protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, is a brave teenager from District 12 who volunteers to take her younger sister Prim’s place when she is chosen as a tribute. Together with the boy selected, Peeta Mellark, Katniss must navigate a frightening landscape filled with deadly traps and betrayals. As they prepare for the competition, Katniss and Peeta try to win the public’s sympathy, a crucial strategy in a game that depends not only on their survival skills but also on their popularity.

As the tension rises and the fight intensifies, Katniss faces moral dilemmas and heartbreaking decisions, while also realizing the feelings she is starting to develop for Peeta. With a focus on resilience and the struggle against injustice, the story immerses us in a world where loyalty and sacrifice are essential for survival. Katniss becomes a symbol of hope for all those who long to change their fate and challenge the Capitol.
