In an old and secluded mansion, a young governess is hired to care for two orphans, Flora and Miles, after the mysterious death of their parents. Upon arriving at the opulent home, she encounters an atmosphere marked by intrigue and secrecy. From the very beginning, the governess notices that there is something strange about the relationship between the children, who seem to be more connected to the dark past of the property than would be considered natural.

As the story unfolds, the governess uncovers through fragmented tales and unsettling visions that the spirits of the mansion's former employees may be interfering in the children's lives. Flora and Miles, in their innocence, find themselves trapped between the world of the living and that of the dead, revealing a complex web of seduction, manipulation, and betrayal. The governess, increasingly obsessed with protecting the children, must confront her own internal demons as she deals with the growing and terrifying influence of the supernatural entities.

With a tension-filled atmosphere and captivating cinematography, the story explores themes such as the vulnerability of childhood, the power of suggestion, and the impact of the past on the present. The governess's struggle to unravel the truth becomes a psychological battle that questions the nature of innocence and evil, leading her to a devastating climax that will change her forever.
