In a secluded hotel in Florida, a World War II veteran, Frank McCloud, arrives to visit the widow of an old friend. Nora Temple, the owner of the establishment, welcomes him with hospitality but a shadow of concern in her gaze. The atmosphere grows tense when a group of gangsters, led by the charismatic and dangerous Johnny Rocco, bursts into the place, seeking refuge as a tropical storm looms.

As the night unfolds, the environment fills with secrets and tensions. Frank, who has grappled with his own demons from the past, finds himself caught in a deadly game of life and death. With Nora's husband imprisoned, a deep connection begins to blossom between Frank and Nora, but the threat of Rocco and his gang hangs over everyone.

Both are forced to confront their fears and discover the value of resilience in the face of violence and despair. The struggle for survival is not only physical but also emotional, as the characters confront their own demons. The external storm is merely a reflection of the internal storm that unfolds, leading to an electrifying climax where honor, sacrifice, and love are put to the test. The night becomes a battle of wits and courage, where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.
