In 1959, a group of elementary school children carries out a project in which they are asked to write down their vision of the future. One of the girls, obsessed with numbers, fills her sheet with a series of digits that seem completely incomprehensible. Years later, in 2009, a physics professor named Keller stumbles upon that mysterious crumpled sheet from the past while cleaning out the school's time capsule. When he hears that the numbers appear to be predictions of natural disasters and tragedies, Keller is stunned.
