In an attempt to reconnect with his family before it's too late, an unemployed architect recently diagnosed with a terminal illness decides it's time to make a radical change in his life. As he faces his own mortality, he makes the decision to build a house on his family land, which has been neglected for years. This project becomes more than just a construction; it is an opportunity to rediscover himself and mend the fragile relationships with his ex-wife and two teenage children.
As he works on the project, his eldest son, a young man filled with frustration and rebellion, struggles with his own inner demons, while his daughter, a distant and angry teenager, feels trapped between family troubles and her search for identity. Throughout this process, the father and his children begin to open up to one another, sharing pain, laughter, and unspoken truths that have always been in plain sight.
In a warm journey of discovery and healing, each character must confront their fears and desires, and find a way to live with meaning in the time they have left. Amid the construction of the new house, the foundations of a new family relationship are also built, where love, loss, and hope intertwine in a moving and authentic way.
