In a quiet suburb, a young woman named Maggie moves in with her mother and faces the challenges of adolescence. Without close friends, she feels a bit isolated until she stumbles upon a group of boys looking for someone to buy them alcohol. After a casual encounter, they establish a strange relationship with an enigmatic and solitary woman, who introduces herself as "Ma." Initially, Ma seems to be the perfect solution for the teens, as she allows them to throw parties in her basement, away from adult supervision.
However, what begins as a fun refuge quickly turns into a disturbing experience. As Ma becomes more involved in the teenagers' lives, she reveals a dark background filled with emotional scars and old grudges. Her behavior becomes increasingly erratic and possessive, making the boys feel trapped in a dangerous situation. Ma transforms into a manipulative and frightening figure, causing the young people to question whether they really know the person they believe is their friend.
With surprising twists and a growing atmosphere of tension, the film explores themes of isolation and revenge, showing how far a wounded person can go in search of connection and acceptance. As the teenagers try to escape her toxic influence, they confront their own fears and must find a way to free themselves from the clutches of a figure who represents both friendship and betrayal.
