Of Mice and Men

In the 1930s, during the Great Depression, two men with ambitious dreams traverse the desolate landscape of California in search of work and a better life. George, a small and crafty man, has become the protector of Lennie, a good-hearted giant with an intellectual disability. Although Lennie is strong and capable of performing physical labor, his innocence and lack of understanding often lead him into problematic situations.

The two friends arrive at a ranch where they hope to find employment and save money to buy their own piece of land. As they adapt to the harsh life on the ranch, they connect with the other workers, including a lonely woman seeking attention and an elderly man who also yearns for what he once had. The hope for a better future intertwines with the harsh realities of life in the fields, and George and Lennie's dream begins to crumble.

As the story unfolds, tensions arise that test their relationship: love, betrayal, and tragedy become a constant echo in their struggle for survival. When circumstances become too intense, the fragile stability of their dreams collapses, leading to an inevitably heartbreaking conclusion that questions the nature of friendship and the fragility of dreams in an unforgiving world.
