In this family romantic comedy, we follow a father, Gus, who decides to take his 14-year-old daughter, Nicole, on a vacation to the sunny Bahamas. Their relationship is typical of a teenage girl and her dad: filled with friction and misunderstandings. When Nicole realizes that her dad has become a bit more “dad” than she’d like, she starts to come up with a plan to prevent him from ruining the vacation.
In an attempt to appear more mature and attract the attention of a group of local boys, Nicole starts telling them that her dad is actually a CIA spy. As she tries to maintain her lie, things get complicated when the group of boys begins to take her fabricated story seriously. Then Gus, unaware of the magnitude of the mess his daughter has gotten into, is forced to play the role of the "hero" she has created.
Throughout the film, comedic situations abound, leading Gus into absurd scenarios that place him at the center of attention. As Nicole navigates the complicated terrain of adolescence and her search for identity, both will discover how important communication and mutual support are in their relationship. The movie is a delightful mix of misunderstandings, life lessons, and, above all, an unforgettable journey between father and daughter.
