Nothing Left to Do But Cry

In the 1980s, two Italian friends, Mario and Saverio, embark on a road trip to Florence with the intention of enjoying a dream vacation. However, in the middle of their journey, a strange phenomenon unexpectedly transports them to the 15th century, right in the midst of the Renaissance. Now, trapped in a completely different world, the two friends must navigate the complexities of the history and culture of the time.

At first, encountering historical figures like Leonardo da Vinci and his contemporaries is purely astounding. But soon they realize that their knowledge of the future can be both useful (and dangerous) in this context. As they try to find a way to return to their time, Mario and Saverio become embroiled in a series of comedic mishaps, from trying to sell futuristic ideas to the artists of the time to complaining about the customs of the era, which often seem absurd to them.

The film plays with the contrast between the past and the present, offering fresh humor and outrageous situations. As the story unfolds, the characters will learn about friendship, courage, and the importance of living in the moment. With a touch of nostalgia and plenty of laughs, this story becomes an unforgettable journey that blends fantasy, comedy, and a nod to Italian culture, all while the protagonists seek a way to return home.
