Paths of Glory

During the course of World War I, a French regiment finds itself trapped in a desperate struggle for survival. Amidst the madness of the conflict, a group of soldiers is selected to carry out an impossible offensive. When the mission ends in disaster and many men refuse to advance, their commander, Colonel Dax, is forced to deal with a scandal cover-up that threatens to jeopardize his career.

In an attempt to redirect the blame, the high-ranking officers of the army decide to scapegoat three randomly selected soldiers, accusing them of cowardice. Dax, who is a lawyer in peacetime, takes on the defense of his men, fighting not only for their freedom but also against a system that seems to build its own narrative based on convenience. As the military trial progresses, the injustices and absurdities of war come to light, while Dax confronts the bureaucracy and cynicism of his superiors.

With a backdrop of tension and social critique, the story not only delves into the fight for justice but also highlights the atrocities and senselessness of war. Throughout this intense narrative, the viewer is forced to question morality, responsibility, and sacrifice in a world where a man's life is worth little in the face of the war machine.
