In a quiet rural village, mechanic Ed Harley lives a simple life with his young son, Billy. Everything changes when a group of young people arrives in the area to enjoy a weekend of fun. However, a tragic accident occurs, and due to one of their reckless actions, Billy is severely injured and dies, leaving Ed devastated and consumed by the desire for revenge.
In his desperation, Ed seeks the help of a mysterious woman who tells him about an ancient supernatural being capable of avenging his suffering. Without a second thought, Ed invokes this entity, a terrifying demon that takes the form of Pumpkinhead. As this being begins to hunt down those responsible for the tragedy, Ed realizes he has unleashed a dark force that is beyond his control. Each death only intensifies his anguish and the connection with the demon, forcing him to confront the consequences of his thirst for vengeance.
The atmosphere becomes increasingly oppressive and haunting, as Ed desperately attempts to stop the whirlwind of violence he himself has unleashed. As he faces the horrors he has summoned, he comes to understand that pain does not disappear with the death of others, and that the true cost of revenge may be higher than he ever imagined.
