In an idyllic retirement home for retired musicians, the daily lives of its residents are shaken by the arrival of a famous soprano, Jean Horton. With a dazzling past but also filled with ups and downs, Jean finds herself in a place that evokes both nostalgia and tension. Among her companions are Reginald, a charming yet somewhat cynical tenor who has lost his passion; Wilfred, an eternal romantic still searching for love at his age; and Cécile, who harbors resentment towards Jean due to their shared history.
The hustle and bustle intensifies when a charity concert is organized to raise funds and maintain the home, becoming the perfect opportunity for the string quartets to come together once more. However, the tension between Jean and Reginald revives old grudges and misunderstandings that threaten to ruin the harmony of the group. As the rehearsals progress, the residents confront their own insecurities, fears, and desires, and through music, they seek a path toward reconciliation.
With a touch of comedy and an emotional backdrop, the film is a tribute to the passion for music, friendship, and second chances in life. In the end, the characters learn that what matters most is not just the performance, but also the journey of personal rediscovery and the connection that is forged through their shared love of music.
