In this heartfelt adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic, we follow the life of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely and cynical man who despises Christmas and everything it represents. On Christmas Eve, he is a successful businessman, yet his heart has grown as cold as the winter surrounding him. Scrooge has one sole objective: to accumulate wealth, regardless of whom he must trample along the way. His life takes an unexpected turn when the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley, appears to him in the darkness. Marley, doomed to wander in the afterlife due to his own selfishness, warns him that his future will be bleak unless he changes his ways.
Marley informs him that he will be visited by three spirits that night. The first apparition takes him back to his childhood, where he relives moments of joy and friendship that he had forgotten. Next, the second spirit shows him the present, revealing the love and kindness of the people around him, despite his disdain. Finally, the ghost of the future arrives, terrifying and grim, showing him a lonely fate where his name is cursed. Horrified by what he sees, Scrooge awakens on Christmas Day, determined to change his life. With a renewed spirit, he rushes to celebrate the holiday, to help the needy, and to redeem his soul, discovering that it is love and generosity that truly fill the heart.
