Testament of Orpheus

In this surreal cinematic work, the renowned poet and filmmaker Orfeo, singing his own ballad of life and death, finds himself trapped in a world where reality and fantasy intertwine inextricably. After being stripped of his immortality, Orfeo embarks on a giant journey to the beyond, guided by enigmatic characters that challenge his perception of existence. In search of answers and redemption, he confronts mythical and contemporary figures that symbolize his fears, desires, and the very condition of humanity.

As Orfeo unravels the secrets of his own soul, he encounters a young muse who represents both inspiration and despair. As their relationship develops, the line between love, loss, and artistic creation becomes increasingly blurred. The surreal visuals and poetic dialogues that break conventional logic immerse the viewer in a sensory experience that evokes profound questioning about the meaning of life.

With a tone of modern fable, this film not only explores the artist's struggle but also invites the audience to reflect on the inevitability of death and the quest for immortality through art. In the end, Orfeo must decide whether to embrace his humanity, with all its fragilities, or to seek a path toward transcendence. On this journey, each image becomes a poem and each word, an echo of eternity.
