In a cold and gloomy Paris, a young Polish barber named Karol Karol finds himself at the peak of a bitter separation. His wife, Dominique, leaves him due to his inability to adapt to French society and, above all, his lack of financial resources. Heartbroken, Karol must return to Poland, leaving behind not only his beloved but also his dream life in France. However, his journey back becomes the spark for a clever revenge.

Determined to regain his dignity and improve his situation, Karol faces a series of challenges in his homeland. Throughout his story, he undergoes a radical transformation, evolving from a defeated man into a shrewd businessman. With ingenuity and a bit of cunning, he manages to accumulate wealth and power, devising a plan to return to Paris. But what begins as a quest for redemption turns into a game of intrigue and inequality as Karol becomes a master of the art of manipulation.

As he confronts his past and challenges the expectations that his environment has of him, Karol embarks on an adventure of self-discovery. The film weaves together themes of love, heartbreak, and revenge in a visually captivating narrative, while also offering a sharp critique of identity and human relationships in a constantly changing world.
