The Trials of Oscar Wilde

In late 19th century London, a famous author and playwright finds himself at the peak of his career. With his sharp wit and provocative lifestyle, he is the life of the party among the cultural elites of the city. However, behind the facade of success lies a dark secret that will lead him to ruin. When a young aristocrat, seduced both by his art and vibrant personality, becomes his lover, the life of this brilliant writer becomes even more intense.

The story complicates when the young man's father, enraged by the relationship, decides to take matters into his own hands and embarks on a crusade of disgrace. Accusations of immorality and sodomy rain down on the author, forcing him to confront a hypocritical society that does not forgive those who defy its norms. As the trial progresses, the audience witnesses not only the protagonist's despair but also a fierce critique of Victorian morality.

Amidst testimonies, scandals, and shocking revelations, the film explores the price of being authentic in a world that does not accept difference. The power of words faces legal and social restrictions in a poignant story that highlights the struggle for personal freedom and genuine love, as the protagonist confronts his greatest challenge: staying true to himself despite the condemnation that surrounds him.
